Description: Episodes:
On her 30th birthday, Cheng You Qing received an email on "the symptoms of premature aging" from Li Da Ren, her best friend of 14 years. Unable to accept that Li Da Ren is like a fine wine that will get better with age and she is like a grape that will dry into a raisin as years go by, she made a bet with Li to see who will get married first before they turn 35. As she looked around for a potential husband, she discovered that she was surrounded by unacceptable candidates, like gay assistant or cheating ex-boyfriend. The only man who could love her despite her ill temper and stubbornness is her best friend. The only problem was that they both swore that they were not or will ever be romantically attracted to each other.

  10. When You Qing’s mum slipped and fell in the bathtub You Qing first thought of calling her brother, then thought of Da Ren but because he is in Singapore, she had to call Ding Li Wei instead. She actually thought of Da Ren before Li Wei.

  53. people say li da ren is too passive and not desirable in real life, but i think him and youQing are like puzzle pieces – only they are perfect for each other. they compliment each other and balance each other’s weakness.

  60. i will never go for a guy like li darren, sure he’s a nice guy, but he’s sooo passive, way too coward, he created all these unnecessary drama for decades instead of just telling the truth to begin with, i dont feel pity for him, he dig his own grave. good thing this is a drama because a real life li darren will never confess and would just watch the girl go.

    • nic is also ok because he understands women and knows what women want. too bad he is GAY. if he is not gay here in this series and with good script and directing, he might be better than daren. But the script is focused on daRen, so he goes OUT! remember Daomingse and huazhelei in Meteor Garden? at first, one will root for the kind guy, huazhelei but the focus of the series is on the bad guy, daomingse, who with good scripting was given a “MORE FAVORABLE” side of him that we don’t know of, in the end, i was going for Daomingse.

I’m so mad about YQ!  stupid woman, brainless!  How could she treat DR like that??  Did she really want a stable and serious relationship for the long time?  Did she really want a happy marriagement for herself?  She is 30 somthing, should be a mature woman, but she is acting like 20’s after she met LW again.  Did she grow up during the past 5 years?  Obviously, DR is her best choice, she is blind.  Seemingly, she is just thirsty for sex only!  Hopefully, DR won’t stay with her eventually.

      • yup, it’s not as if You Qing knows Da ren really loves her. And with her personality, she’s not one person to assume. Lol! But I really feel for Da ren…. Maybe they need to be apart for a while, so You Qing can realize her love for Da ren. 🙂

    • YQ is not stupid she is just scared to fall in love with DR because she is too proud and can’t afford to lose. she thought DR would never love her. think about it, in 8 episodes (a few months time), how many times had she told herself that DR would never fall for her? at least once every episode!!! what about the past 10-15 years?? she probably had reminded herself a million times!! and it was DR who told her that he would never ever love someone like her!! so stop blaming YQ!!

  84. I kinda disliked Cheng Mama in this episode. Why the sudden change of heart for Ding Li Wei, she hated him and was rooting for Da ren. I think she just wanted You Qing to get married already to any guy. Good thing that You Qing’s dad is more rational and truly wanted what’s best for his daughter. 🙂

  107. Got to love the conversation between Da ren’s mom & Tao Tao about “good” & “bad” guys. Yeah, Tao Tao has a point, both Dao Ming Si (Meteor Garden) & Jiang Zhi Su (ISWAK) are those “bad” guys that got the girl in the end. But Da ren!… those 2 guys are the main leads in their drama, so obviously they got the girl. You need not be the “bad” guy, just man up and muster some confidence, like a lead guy should be doing, ok! hehehe!!! Go & snatch back the girl, Da ren dear. LOL!!! :))))

    • yes, though the episode was sooo good yet soooo painful to watch… sigh… my box of tissue sure came handy. Lol!! :))))

      I just love how the director made the scenes of Da ren & You Qing still so touching. Although the story suggests that they are physically apart (like their phone conversations when Da ren was in Singapore), the way the director presented those scenes was what the viewers would have loved… Da ren & You Qing still together mentally.

  116. 覺得依晨真的好適合演情侶之間甜蜜互動的戲喔~ 看起來自然可愛又魅力無窮, 一點都不會讓人有起雞皮疙瘩 “不蘇胡” 的感覺.
    以前在惡作劇之吻更是如此, 她那時候還沒有現在漂亮, 但跟江直樹的甜蜜小互動卻演得很有說服力, 推翻了甜蜜戲碼一定要是俊男美女演才賞心悅目的既定印象. 一直到現在, 我還清楚記得她整個人像樹熊一樣掛在江直樹身上撒嬌的一幕, 看的人也甜到心坎裡~

Liwei is more suitable for you qing  You qing is a “Nu qiang ren”(a very capable woman). she should have as a husband like daren who is more tolerant, more understanding to her outburst of anger. Daren is more the “listener”type too. besides, daren has2 “nu qiang ren” at home-his mother and sis. so, he is more USED TO you qing’s kinda women.

    • i don’t think li wei has ever hit you Qing while still “ON”. he finds you qing irritating because she nags and bickers….specially when she gets jealous(But what girl doesn’t?) i think that is the reason they split.. i don’t think there’s a third party involved?

    • as someone has said, if daren has some qualities of liwei, then he’d be perfect! Liwei was youqing’s ex, he should be more romantic than before if he wants to win her hand again! that’s why, this series showed his romantic side. BUT in this series, Li DaRen is not romantic because they are NOT a couple. wait till youqing accepts him. he would be by then as romantic as liwei!

    • yes, sunny & ariel’s chemistry is good but I love the underrated yet intimate chemistry of bo-lin and ariel. feels so real. 🙂

      • yes, thats why i said they are very good actors, since in reality bolin and ariel are not each others type at all, and offscreen dont have much chemistry but they played their characters so well goes to show they are really serious with acting so i hope they get an award for it in the future, as well as the director and the series.

  136. I have to watch the girl I like be mistreated by her boyfriend, while I stand by her as her friend. Unfortunately, I met her too late…bad timing. I hate 丁立威 in this drama because it just reminds me of my friend’s boyfriend. I hope one day my friend will realize, she deserves better. It doesn’t have to be me, but she really deserves better.

  151. Good episode but sad to watch. Li Wei’s not good for You Qing. Passionate love may be exciting but it’s fleeting. Unlike Da ren’s steady & unconditional love for You Qing which is everlasting. Now, if only Da ren can stop being a wimp and just confess to You Qing directly. It’s hard to watch them like this. I miss You Qing & Da ren’s face to face interaction & conversations. 🙂

  156. DaRen and YouQing are meant to be together. I mean, they know exactly what each other are thinking and are willing to accept every good/bad points. In part 6, DaRen knows that YouQing would want to read the letter hence almost at the same time, the both of them snatches the letter. This is just so DaRen&YouQing like. They don’t hid their true intention with each other. (trying imagine if your boyfriend/friend hid a letter from you, you will sure be curious but you won’t try to snatch it, cause the relationship is just not that deep)

  171. Wow, You Qing & Li Wei’s relationship is really intense & full of passion, so hot but dangerously volatile. A relationship that if it’s doing good, it’s sooo good but if it goes bad, it will be sooo bad. Not a very steady relationship to be in, especially with You Qing’s personality. She’s like a “different” person when she’s with Li Wei, very uncharacteristic. 🙁

    • 不同意. 人生本來就充滿各種陰錯陽差的.
      不像一般偶像劇像 “王子變青蛙” 那些 , 工人搬的一面長鏡子, 或搭了不同電梯就阻隔了兩人相遇那種戲劇化得幾乎是很扯的橋段; 這裡的陰錯陽差很真實, 有的源自李大仁溫吞不擅表達的個性, 有的因為丁力威刪除了關鍵性的簡訊, 但這些都是真實人生裡會發生的, 而不是偶像劇裡機會率少於萬分之一的陰錯陽差; 我覺得這裡的劇情很合理, 也能夠喚起觀眾對於bad timing 的無奈…
