don’t misinterpret what you have seen, HuoDa.
i see now, huoYan’s father loved huoYan’s mother but they could not get married because she came from a poor family. so he married HuoDa’s mother, who was rich but whom he did not love(i guess??). that was why his favorite was HuoYan.
i am so sorry for Huo Yan. he is so kind . But one can only have 1 heart.JiaDi chooses HuoDa.
