On her 30th birthday, Cheng You Qing received an email on "the symptoms of premature aging" from Li Da Ren, her best friend of 14 years. Unable to accept that Li Da Ren is like a fine wine that will get better with age and she is like a grape that will dry into a raisin as years go by, she made a bet with Li to see who will get married first before they turn 35. As she looked around for a potential husband, she discovered that she was surrounded by unacceptable candidates, like gay assistant or cheating ex-boyfriend. The only man who could love her despite her ill temper and stubbornness is her best friend. The only problem was that they both swore that they were not or will ever be romantically attracted to each other.

  3. y’all are a bunch of haters, chicks like Maggie are so damn hard to find these days, calling her a bitch, she’s an open book man, she’s not deceiving anybody (other than herself maybe), I don’t really see how you can get down on someone who’s just being honest, but is slightly naive / inexperienced ~

    i’d go for a girl like maggie 10/10 times, she’s confident enough to chase the guy she wants and express her feelings, unfiltered and with sincerity, can you guys shietting all over her say the same about yourselves ??

    • I am okay with Maggie except for the fact that she tries to intervene too much in her BF’s life. Its like she lives her life for her BF and sticks to him like superglue! She can be much more independent.
      Furthermore girls like Maggie might be just the type that acts like an open book but is scheming on the inside.. Dont just read things on the suface

  52. I used to really dislike Ariel Lin, especially her role in It Started With a Kiss. But seeing her as a mature female lead makes me warm up to her. 🙂 Yay for mature Ariel!

  56. 实在不明白，他们两明摆着就是再合适不过的也都是聪明的人可就是冲不破那一道墙，就好像明明懂却在装不懂的硬在和不合适的人谈不靠谱的恋爱。虽然剧很好看，可是有时候觉得看不下去。因为我觉得现实中不会像剧情这样，这两个人早就figure out 在一起了。

      誰說現實中沒有像劇情這樣？就是因為太多了 才會引起共鳴讓人思考
      生活周遭看過很多類似的例子 寧願做一輩子的朋友 也不願跨出那一步

    • 其實我覺得，maggie現階段是李大仁的女朋友，加上她戲裡角色的個性會有這種反應適能理解的
      有哪個女朋友在得知自己的男友因為女生朋友心情不好，跑去安慰她整晚，還不會擔心的
      況且之後兩人竟然還要一起去3天2夜的旅行，一定會不安的~
      只是她真的是有點太黏了說..

    • it’s true that this is drama has more quality and easily moves peope with each episode but office girls makes you feel relaxed while watching and you don’t have to think too much about anything and enjoy the drama.

    • I think it’s a matter of preference. I love this drama because it touches the different human emotions. It makes me cry & sad at times, makes me reflect on the different life lessons it gives me even after I watch each episode, it also gives me a feeling of excitement & anticipation for You Qing & Da ren’s relationship and it makes me laugh too! A complete depiction of real life that really touches my heart. I just hope that the people who haven’t seen this drama yet can have the chance to do so because it simply is a beautifully written drama that’s destined to be memorable. For me, that’s what I’m looking for in a drama. 🙂

    • funny, but it seems Da ren’s mom & You Qing’s personality are quite similar. Both of them are strong willed & straight forward, they speak what’s in their mind. And both of them have the liking for the arts like stage plays. Da ren’s mom loves to paint & You Qing loves going to museums/exhibits. They have the same taste, maybe that’s why they both dislike Maggie! LOL!!!! :)))

  72. I’m hoping that this drama has a happy ending which is Da ren & You Qing being a couple. I think they would be great as husband & wife because these two can talk about anything & everything under the sun. And one of the most important thing in a marriage is communication, which I feel You Qing & Da ren won’t have a problem with if ever they become a couple. I feel the kind of friendship that Da ren & You Qing has is the best foundation for a lasting marriage, just like in real life. They’re so adorable as friends, how cute can they be if they’re a couple… hmmm, with all the juice stuff! LOL!!! :)))

    • 这部剧是一部很贴切生活和现实的一部剧， 所以我觉得这部剧的结局不一定会像偶像剧的一贯作风， 给他来个完美结局。我想导演应该会给他一个比较符合现实的结局。虽然说我也希望他们可以在一起啦。不过要是结局他们不能在一起不过却够合理够真实， 就更能够衬托出这部剧的素质和水准。

Li Da Ren is too NICE or coward… he should never had started the relationship with Maggie in the first place and find it hard to break it off with her.  Maggie is way too pushy and clinging.  I think she is desperate for a marriage or partner, when she found a good one, she clings on to him for dear life.  If both YouQing and DaRen are brave enough, they would have started a relationship together but I can relate why they hold back and stays as good friends.  The director is so funny and loves to act. 😀

  94. Youqing and Daren’s friendship’s really something to be envied about. Having someone who understands you thoroughly, knowing your likes and dislikes, it’s a pity that they’ve yet to realise how compatible they are! As for Maggie, she’s way too dependent on Daren, and her insecurities… It really makes her a lil annoying :X

    • I think they both know how each of them know the other one very well and compatible but they are just afraid to go into the next stage … as if it doesn’t work out as couple, they might never be as good friends as they are at this moment.

      • 你沒看前面忘了哪集的花絮嗎~ 裡面試裝的時候副導就已經跟她說要再減肥了 所以到正式拍的時候我想她也已經花了很大的努力了吧

        而且裝聲音高的話.. 你不覺得就是因為這樣才顯得Maggie這角色更顯性的嬌氣嗎~ 如果Maggie的角色是一個聲音很低的女生我想我還不會像現在那麼快能代入情緒~

  110. Wow! This drama… gets better & better each episode. I love how the plot develops in every episode. The writer made the simple story of “best friends in love” interesting & complex. I think this episode is a rude awakening for Maggie that Da ren is in love with his best friend. She still annoys me but I also feel sad for her. Love can’t really be forced.

  116. I think Da Ren’s biggest flaw is that he is too nice, and therefore very passive. He should be more assertive about his decision to reconsider his relationship with Maggie.  Letting Maggie insist to start anew knowing that they are not right for each other is only gonna waste her time and hurt her more later on.

  124. Totally awesome show! NEVER GET SICK OF IT.  I heard there is only 13 episodes, so yeah! I guess it is short and sweet(: Unlike some other show which started off GREAT but nearing the end it became draggy, no storyline at all. This is just unlike other drama with boring content! DEFINITELY WORTH WATCHING!

  135. Why does everyone hate maggie, it’s not like what she is doing is totally out of line.  Just because Da Ren and his best friend is closer and more suited for each other doesn’t mean Maggie is annoying or bad. 
    I love how people are saying this show teaches them about life, and then they turn around and criticize because they don’t understand each prospective from each person.

    • and again, it’s not like maggie is cheating, or the 3rd person in a relationship.  She is officially his girlfriend.  Da Ren may have made a mistake , but that doesn’t mean Maggie is a bad person. In all honesty, Maggie is fairly cute and innocent.  It’s just that Da Ren and the main girl character is best suited for each other.

      • you have a point. i don’t hate her for being in love with Da ren because that’s normal. what annoys me is her “actions”, the way she talks, her childish ways. it’s really just irritating. the way she loves Da ren is kinda creepy too. at times i think, she’s not really in love with Da ren, she’s just in love with the concept of being in love. well, it’s a drama.         • Yes, I completely agree with you–the problem with Maggie is that she doesn’t actually love Da Ren, she loves the concept of him (cause he meets all her criteria) and the idea of being in a relationship.

    • I agree with Er234, Maggie loves to force things upon people. For example, even after knowing that the trip b/t them is personal and meaningful, she shows up early in the morning to “surprise” him, or insisting to visit Da Ren’s home unannounced or when Da Ren tries to tell her to reconsider their relationship..she insists to push it forward. She can’t take no for an answer, and it makes Da Ren uncomfortable.

Well, in a way, part of it is Li Da ren’s fault. He shouldn’t have “encouraged” Maggie in the first place. Now, how is he getting out of a mess he himself created.         • So far no surprises, it’s just a well written romance story. For them to end up together will be quite cliche, probably they figured they are better as friends or come up with lines like “we don’t end up with people we really love” kind of BS.
