I think it’s different for women, or most women, when you get older, you think of marriage and kids and making a family. I am sure it’s the same for men too, but career wise, it’s not that important for a woman (not all women), it’s finding a man who loves you and making a family. From the talk show, acting seemed like hard work, all we see is the finished product, we don’t see how hard the actors and crew members have to work to make this finished product. From what I saw on Kangxi, they said they have very little sleep during production time. Drama usually takes longer time than a movie to be made. I am sure after her operation, having a cyst in your brain, can make one think of your life … what you want more out of it. She isn’t quitting totally, from what I have seen, she is a very good actor. Wow, her bf is really old, 43 years of age!?!
yeah,i saw them both in a station her bf looks like a d.o.m.= dirty old man. maggie in real life is reserved kinda like you ching but yichen in real life is a bit like maggie in “romance department only” very obsessedand blind when in love…
i like how ariel is taking a more mature role like this one. she’s grown up. 🙂
i want her to be healthyy, sure of course, and her priority changes after the operation but she’s acting her insecurity, thinking she would find anybody else also resting for almost a year? thats too much, over!

yeah and she’s even not too interested in her acting carreer anymore, its like she would just act if she likes a script or something, something definitely changed in her eversince she met her bf, and i dont think i like it, she kinda change in a bad and desperate way.
Pardon me, but who are we to judge Ms. Ariel Lin??! She NEVER said she’ll not be acting anymore! She was just shifting first to movies because as of now, her health is not so good. As she stated, ACTING IS HER LIFE and she’ll just be taking it slow for the time being. She has been in a “life & death” situation, if that made her change her career path, so what?
Maybe, a lot of us may not like or be agreeable to who she is dating, but do we have the right to question her decisions? Actors are human beings too, their not robots that should follow what we like them to do! Ms. Ariel Lin has done over 12 drama series already, why don’t we just appreciate her body of work and NOT question her motives. I believe, no one is in any position to judge her or any person for that matter.
I admire Ms. Ariel Lin for what she stands for, I never felt some insecurity & desperation from her as to what you are insinuating. She’s an AMAZING ACTRESS & A LEVEL-HEADED WOMAN!!! I don’t want her to stop acting either but to make such comments as to question her motives is truly UNFAIR to an actress who has given us memorable performances since she has entered in the entertainment industry. I RESPECT HER AS AN ACTRESS & AS A PERSON, her health comes first and I admire her decisions in life. Let’s be positive and live life peacefully… :)))) God bless you Ms. Ariel Lin! You only deserve the best because you are a good person! PEACE!:)

her co stars are so cute, i hope she ended up with someone like them, they seem like nice people in real life as well..i was devastated when i saw ariel and her 40 plus year old bf, when she’s with him, he looks like her dad, he’s not even handsome, maybe nice, but ariel! have your eyes checked! he’s old so makes you feel secure but why sell yourself too short! somebody needs to wake you up in real life!!!
