  4. the taiwan skip beat drama is surprisingly good! i love the whole cast, their acting exceeded my expectations. Ivy chen is hilarious lol.

  6. i no ivy chan is just following the manga. but in the manga it’s fine to act that way and it looks good!. but if they want to change it to a drama, at least make it drama suitable.. this is just too over the top ==’

  10. the main actress’s eyes are really big and pretty!! but with all her other features together… she kidda looks like a guy??? like a aboriginal taiwanese guy!!

  11. I really like this show so far but I found Ivy really not suitable for her role. Not only she’s acting over the top..in my opinion, she just can’t act! I’d have definitely like this better with Ariel Lin (who is much more versatile and has more experiences) or else some other talented actress…I don’t know why Ivy always gets the better projects….but as of now, I’ve yet to seen her in a role that really suits her. Kudos to her manager for landing her such great roles though!

    • Both of them have their good points.I think that Ivy is a good actress,same goes for Ariel.But if its always Ariel lin,even if shes really very good,i don’t think people would wanna watch as she has already gotten the other drama as female lead,it would be kinda bored.Just my opinion :).

  12. I think Ivy Chen did quite good and I also understand that since it’s adapted from a manga,it’s reasonable for her character to be a bit exaggerating,though I’m not used to it yet.
    I’ve seen her act for the first time in ‘Hard Persimmon’ and I was pretty impressed by her acting skills in some emotional scenes,and also on ‘Black & White’ ,she gave a cool vibe then..It’s really new for me to see her act an all hyped-up girl who speaks a whole bunch of lines really quickly. Before watching this, I’ve always thought that Ariel Lin would fit the character better but I think this might change my view? 🙂 I seriously think Donghae & Siwon’s acting can be expressed better without the dubbing…

  20. I am a fan of Skip Beat’s manga version, and I am so glad that this live action adaptation has more or less stayed loyal to it. A lot of other adaptation will leave out lots of details and wash down the outrageous or over comedic parts and I am really glad they didn’t do that here.

  24. 華麗的挑戰陣容很大
    可惜偶像劇劇情不僅偏離了原劇很多,外加跟原劇形象差了一大截

    所以期待原劇改編的漫迷大大失望(包含我)
    你們會發現罵的人都是看過原劇的人
    只能說戰的立場不一樣,想法當然不一樣
    如果我不把它當作漫畫改編的戲劇我會覺得還不錯看

  27. I agree with people saying that Ivy Chen’s acting is so exaggerated. The people that said she’s acting like the anime, she’s shouldnt be. She should develop her own character not copying the anime.

    • EMM No offence but if she ‘develops her own character’ people (haters) starts to say things like ‘OH~ this is crap doesn’t even look like the anime doesnt even give me the feeling of the anime this is such a let down’ Also the fact that she CAN act exactly like the anime means she has great acting skills

    !!! 不会觉得对那么努力的始源，东海意涵和坤达 会好受吗？至少应该知道这样听了不会很不舒服吗？他们每次都被侮­辱啊，尤其是始源T.T
    看幕後花絮就知道東海跟始源演得很認真!!

    他们可是人啊！会受伤害的人啊！会不会太不尊重他们？他们出道了六年，好不容易能被注意到，去拍戏，结果是这个下场。他们可是辛辛苦苦学了华文来台湾的，如果是我去韩国学韩文，我根本是一瞧不通啊！
    真的希望你们能够对他们好一点，看一下他们他们的付出吧..T.T 我都要哭了..</3

  33. For all you people criticizing how the male actors have no emotions or feelings towards their role, I think it’s cuz its dubbed. I’m not sure about donghae but siwon can definitely act. And ivy’s character is way to exaggerated.

      • perhaps its not merely just about the exaggerated acting, its because the role doesn’t suit the actress. she doesn’t have the comical & crazy attitude. probably Ella from S.H.E will fit the role better.

People who thinks that Ivy Chen’s acting is too exaggerated..Isn’t it the same in the anime?..If you have watch the anime before and still thinks that Ivy Chen’s acting is bad..It means that you don’t understand Skip Beat! at all..If I really want to criticize one bad actor,i got to say Siwon..He didn’t study the character of Ren well enough..Too basic..Ren is a person with some past with him,not some normal acting will make it through..Stop criticizing Ivy,she’s a great actress..If she acts normally,this whole drama will be a flop..I suppose most of the people who criticizes are ELFs..if you really don’t like her,just don’t watch it! No one is forcing you here..:)

  35. Their acting is consider acceptable but it just lacks a feeling to it, everything feels too fake and over. Maybe because the actors are newbies 
    For those who din’t watch the anime will feel it is just a comedy and romance drama, when it is much more meaningful.
    Ariel will portray the actors with more emotions, but she is already old hence will also lack the bubbly and active character that Ivy portray.As for the actor who act as Ren, I think Jerry yen will be much suitable, as Ren character is abit similar to Jerry’s role in meteor garden; plus save the trouble of dubbing:)Haters be hating!

  41. waaaaah i think ivy chen is doing a fantastic job here!!! her craziness is pretty natural to meee! i mean if you ask like yao yao to act as kyoko…. it would be a horrible show! so thanks to her, this show is much nicer to watch!!!!! hopefully it will get more exciting!!!

  48. I think Ivy’s a really good actress! I really enjoyed her performance in the movie Ting Shuo (in which she plays sister to a deaf person). Her crazy behavior in the show is probably because the plot calls for it. Honestly, I think it would be quite hard for someone to laugh like a maniac or to look consumed by hatred and not look awkward. Ivy’s done a decent job out of it, give her some credit.

  59. Watching the anime version of SkipBeat and watching the drama version at the same time, all I can say is that,if this show doesn’t have Donghae and Siwon, i wouldn’t continue watching at all with Ivy Chen’s super 夸张’s acting.

  60. I own a set of skip-beat comics, therefore my expectation is pretty high for this drama.
    For those who do not know the story; probably think that is it pretty stuipd. I would say…. please continue to watch and you’ll know what i mean..

I’m just gonna spit it out.. taiwanese ppl’s acting are just terrible in here.. the president here n from the anime.. there’s a huge difference. siwon n donhae oppa’s acting are good but ivy’s acting is too overreacting.. as for bianca.. watevr her name.. i hate her.. n her acting.. it annoy’s me..

    • Hate to break it to you, but some Taiwanese are typically like that. It’s just the way they make it and they do it on purpose. If you hate their acting, just stop watching the show. No one’s forcing you to keep going. If you’re only watching it because of Donghae and Siwon, there are other shows with them in it for you to go view.

    • If you wanna to spit it out,then i’ll spit it out too,in fact,Donghae’s acting is good,however,Siwon’s acting is mediocre and a little boring,do you know who’s more suitable acting as Ren? Jerry Yan..His image and acting is totally fitting as Ren..Taiwanese peoples’ acting is terrible?Do you know that most of them are great actors? The older actors have a lot of acting experience..Some of them have 10-20 years of acting experience and winners of awards too( e.g,the actor who act as the boss of the shop that Gong Xi is staying is a Golden Horse Award winner for best supporting actor) ..And FYI,Ivy Chen won the Best Actress award in Taipei Film Festival in 2010..I like Suju,but some fans like you are just so irritating..If you hate it,piss off and go watch your oppas somewhere else..

      Stop watching if you are annoyed.
      Don’t say that you are watching for siwon and donghae, what stupid word
      Then, i will recommend you to just watch their concert, nice enough
      Don’t hurt any actor or actress who is doing their best to act in this show

  66. 漫畫改編的戲很快就會失去人氣了,現在越看越覺得這部片沒內容. 大概是因為漫畫裡常太多誇張的動作和對話但放到偶像劇裡演就很俗不可耐
