I watched both versions and i still prefer the original version by Vicki Zhao, but I have to admit that the new version does have its merits. The old version has classic and memorable scenes which can be laugh-out-loud funny or tearjerking as well, while this new version is more of a feel-good drama with some enjoyable scenes and some refreshing twists to the plot. I didn’t find the new version as funny as the old one though. But it was still a nice recap of the old classic.
For those who enjoyed this new version but have never watched the original classic, I highly recommend it. It may be filmed some time back but it’s pretty fast-paced as well and has some great scenes which are not in this version. Oh but I didn’t like season 3 of the first version. Just a personal opinion though.

this episode is so hilarious…that Rong Mo Mo is deserved to get beaten up….
I think it’s sad. Purple Flower was slapped along with others! RMM is just obeying instructions. She’s not as mean as the RMM in the past.
This is the first time I watch this drama (never watched the previous versions) even though I heard of it before. Never thought I would watch it cos it’s not my cup of tea…. I only watched Taiwanese drama as they have better filming techniques and skills…..Accidentally, I clicked on the clips cos it’s only under English title and found out the castings and outfits are pretty kewl even though I only knew Tang Shui Man….This version’s beat is better and faster when compared with other mainlander’s drama….slow and clumsy…
me too i never watched the previous one so i wouldnt compare the old and new one like other pplz does lolz :]
U guys should try the old one….. If u guys know who’s Alec su or ruby Lin…. Im pretty sure you’ll learn to like it a lot xD
