i remember when i watched the first huan zhu ge ge when i was younger, when rong mo mo stabbed zi wei with needles is one of the most depressing scene and i really really hated it cos zi wei looked soooo pitiful.
now i feel like they are js briefly copying all those things from the old version and nothing is ‘deep’ enough. the new version is more like a comedy than a very very deep touching drama.
